The Chevrolet Silverado comes as the light-duty Silverado 1500 and the heavy-duty 2500HD and 3500HD, each with several cab styles, bed lengths, and engines. Silverado trucks share much of their engineering with the GMC Sierra.

Rock Sales Parts helps Silverado owners across the United States source replacement parts. Call with your VIN or your year, model, cab, bed, engine, and drivetrain.

Know your Silverado generation

Parts often change between generations — and sometimes within one. Use this as a guide; your VIN confirms the exact details.

Chevrolet Silverado generations and key differences
Model years What to know
1999–2006 First Silverado generation (GMT800). 2007 “Classic” models continued this design.
2007–2013 GMT900 light-duty generation; heavy-duty models continued through 2014.
2014–2018 Light-duty generation. Some 2019 light-duty trucks were sold as the Silverado 1500 LD.
2019 and newer Current light-duty platform, refreshed for 2022 (a 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited carried over the earlier design). Heavy-duty models were redesigned for 2020.

Model-year ranges are general guidance for U.S. models and can vary by configuration.

FAQ

Chevrolet Silverado parts: common questions

Still have a question? Ask a parts specialist.

+1 646 244-2586 All FAQs
Are Silverado and Sierra parts the same?

Many mechanical parts are shared, but body panels, grilles, lighting, and some trim pieces differ. Tell us which truck you have.

What is a Silverado 1500 LD or Limited?

They are carryover versions of the previous-generation truck sold alongside the redesigned model in the same model year (2019 LD and 2022 Limited). They use different parts from the newer truck, so your VIN is important.
