Chevrolet fitment tips
-
Look for the RPO label
Many General Motors vehicles have a Service Parts Identification label — often in the glovebox — listing three-character Regular Production Option (RPO) codes. These codes identify factory equipment such as the engine, axle ratio, and brakes.
-
Shared platforms
Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, and Tahoe, Suburban, and GMC Yukon SUVs, share many mechanical parts. Body panels, grilles, and lighting usually differ.
-
Carryover models
In some years, Chevrolet sold a carryover version of the previous truck alongside a redesigned one — such as the 2019 Silverado 1500 LD and 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited. Your VIN tells them apart.

FAQ
Chevrolet parts: common questions
Can a GMC part fit my Chevrolet?
Many mechanical parts are shared between related Chevrolet and GMC models, but styling parts often differ. We confirm fitment for your specific vehicle before you order.
Where is the RPO code label?
On many GM vehicles it is in the glovebox; on others it may be on the spare tire cover or another interior panel. A photo of it helps us confirm parts.
